WUPWUP ALMFEST INFO / FAQ

When & Where
Friday, 05. August 12h – Sunday, 07. August 2011 15h on the "Knappalm in Mühlwald (46°53′N 11°52′E) near Bruneck-Brunico, South Tyrol, Italy".
Parking Space and Meeting Place for the Walk to the Alm will be the “Sportzone Mühlwald”. See in google maps. From there on you will have a walk of 1h 20min to the Alm.  As the site is dangerous and not lighten during the night we strongly reccomend to arrive during the daytime.

Travel & Arriving
By plane: next airports are Bolzano, Innsbruck, or the cheapest is to fly to Munich or Verona and then travel by train or car.
By train: you can travel until Bruneck in South Tyrol, then there are regular busses to Mühlwald in Ahrnvalley.
By car: Travel until Mühlwald, we will inform you about the meeting place on the website.

Be aware, that you have to walk up for over an hour to the Alm. Please wear appropriate and weather proof shoes.
You cannot reach the festival site by car (!), but a tractor luggage service will be provided to carry heavy luggage.

Responsibilities
We refuse to take responsibility for visitors of the festival. You are responsible for you actions and you enter at your own risk.
You have to be over 18 to attend "wupwup Almfest".


Climate
As the festival site is located 1800 meters above sea level the nights will be cold. There is a chance of snow also at this time of year.
Please check the weather report or here report 2 before festival and prepare yourself wisely (jackets, shoes, rain coats, ...)
But don't worry nudity will not be penalised. 

General Behavior
We do not tolerate violence against nature, people or against yourself (NO DRUGS!). Every misuse will lead to immediate festival exclusion.
Remember, as always, to be aware and helpful to your friends.

Camping
There is a camping area. It’s open from Friday 12h until Monday 12h. Camping is free of course. To enter the camping and festival site you must have a ticket.

Hygiene
There will be toilets (they will be memorable), but please don't forget to bring enough toilet paper.
We do not offer showers but there is lake nearby and also a creek.
Please bring biodegradable shampoo and soap and don’t leave your rubbish around.
The "Wengsee" lake is 20 Minutes from the site. Also a small creek passes right next to the alm. You can brush your teeth and cool down.

Food & Drinks
There will be delicious food at moderate prices by south tyrolean chef. Feel free to bring a gas cooker.
Fire warning: Barbecues/Grills and open fires on the festival site are strictly forbidden!
There will be a adequately stocked bar. It fine also to bring drinks from home, but don’t expect them to be tasty after after-hours and hours in the sun.

Cigarettes & Tobacco
Please bring enough cigarettes or tobacco with you. We will be selling a limited supply of cigarettes and tobacco.  We don't appreciate hardcore begging.

Cash Machine /ATM
We have no ATMs up there. It is a mountain site, right?

Line-Up / Timetable / Music Break

The Line-Up will be published on the website plus the timetable will be printed / handed out on the festival.
There will be a music break on Saturday from 9h to 15h.
But we are very glad to have artists performing, authors reading and some surprises bringing more cultural variety to the festival.

Animals
Please leave your animals at home. No animals will be allowed on to the site during the Festival, with the exception of guide dogs. 

Legal Notice

1. Tickets are non-returnable. Refunds will only be available if the Festival is cancelled or entirely rescheduled.
2. Tickets are transferable for a wrist-band on arrival at the site. The Promoter will not issue duplicate tickets/festival passes for lost or stolen tickets.
3. Camping is permitted on the Festival site, for camping and all other accommodation requirements please see above.
4. Persons under 18 are not allowed to enter the Festival. We do not tolerate any drugs and violance. Every misuse will lead to immediate festival exclusion.
5. Persons attending the Festival may be filmed or recorded as part of the audience.
6. The Promoters cannot accept liability for any damages, loss or injuries sustained at the Festival, including loss or damage to property, howsoever caused.
