> bartholomäus traubeck > vj yes/no
It’s all about concepts and ideas. Bartholomäus Traubeck, born in Munich and currently living in Linz (Austria), is one of these artists who cannot be put in just one segment of art: he is doing product design, graphics, installations, visuals, videos and even music. But rest assured: he’s not a guy who dabbles around without any goal or creativity; he is a complete artist that always puts thought and skill into his works, reaching heart and mind of those who are ready to perceive and reflect on his art.
He works minimalistically and with abstract forms while still putting concrete elements into his art. This dualism becomes visible when he works as a VJ under the pseudonym “Yes/No”. Traubeck is an artist as versatile as very few out there.

“i am an italian based design student from former yugoslavia with sometimes weird attitudes and behaviors.”, is what viktor says about himself. actually he is half bosnia-croatian, half german and half italian or maybe a whole european. viktor likes things that express an artistic language. he mostly deals with graphic & product design but tries to mix them into new ways of undisciplined transformations. examples are his “photographic installations” (with kamila musilova), concepts for t-shirt designs and fashion shows or the 'creative media' experiment "dizzzy". after spending a exchange year in jerusalem and istanbul he is now back in bolzano to finisch his BA and of course to work for wupwup.
kiktor&vamila is a collaboration between kamila musilova & viktor matic. starting at the bezalel, academy of art & design in jerusalem in 2009 they soon started working on new projects together.
kiktor&vamila remix different disciplines and backgrounds such as photography, art & design and create new points of view in a process based work approach towards the "alienation of faces in modern society".

photographer and visual artist with the believe that photography is the product of complete alienation. born in czech republic but now moving all around europe and middle east. the core of her photographs and installations is based on transforming human body’s identity into unspecific objects and breaking borders between live and artificial. her work exceed in clear and simple visuality as well as in finding new relationships between imaginary and real space. and yes, she is a sexy little swine …

"when people ask me where i’m from i usually say jerusalem. not israel. somehow i feel that people will except it better. i also say i’m from nowhere, i’m half israeli, half french. basically i’m half jewish and half christian even though i feel nothing for both ways. in general the way i chose to take my life is a bit different from most of the jewish people in israel. i finished highschool, did one year of civil service. then worked for one year as a gardener, photographer, seller in a photography shop, waiter. at the age of 20 started to study. lately i do mostly videos. and some projects with my cell phone camera."
